Every flying upland bird sculptures are made from solid Tupelo Gum or Basswood wood carved by Master Carver Sam Nottleman and his wife Lilly then creates the original paint scheme using actual birds as her model. Next a mold is made which the hand cast reproductions using a variety of casting mediums along with a resin binder are used to individually hand cast each sculpture. After casting and curing, each sculpture is subject to many more hand operations to remove any seam lines or casting blemishes. This work insures each sculpture captures every detail of Sam's and Lilly's originals.

"Roooooster" Pheasant Wall Mount
Pheasants are medium to large chicken-like bird with long tail, often held cocked up at an angle and their wings are rather long and rounded in flight. This wall mount sculpture features an easy to use wall hanging hook on the rear of the sculpture.
